Travelhire now provides complimentary in-car WiFi in its Tier 1 fleet. After trialing this extensively with existing clients, we were given a resounding “thumbs up”. The feedback that we received indicated that this would be a much used feature, particularly on longer journeys, where clients could make efficient use of what would otherwise be dead time.

Travelhire provided a liveried shuttle service for VIP’s at this year’s Frieze Art Fair held in Regents Park. The event covered two venues incorporating two exhibitions, The Frieze Masters and The Frieze Art Fair. The shuttle service consisted of 40 vehicles – 20 BMW 7 Series and 20 BMW 5 Series. Visitors to the exhibitions were offered a VIP shuttle service between the two venues and also to Central London art galleries and other destinations.

Travelhire supplied a fleet of liveried BMW 7 Series as part of an airport shuttle service to transport members of the European Team to Heathrow Airport. The Team were flying out to take part in The Ryder Cup 2012, held in the United States.

The Prima High Street Fashion Awards is one of the UK’s most high profile fashion events. This is the 18th year that Prima have held the awards. The event is held in support of Breakthrough Breast Cancer, the key beneficiary; raising a staggering £670,000 for the charity. For the fourth year in a row, Travelhire co-ordinated the transportation elements of the show supplying 25 chauffeur driven vehicles for the Awards Ceremony held at Battersea Evolution on Thursday 13th September. We completed more than 50 individual movements to and from the venue. Patrick, our dedicated onsite co-ordinator, ensured that the assignment ran as smoothly and efficiently as always.

This month, Travelhire will take delivery of an additional 12 new BMW 7 Series Long-Wheelbase luxury saloons to further expand its existing fleet of vehicles. The BMW 7 Series is Travelhire’s flagship vehicle and offers our clients the most stylish and spacious of environments. As with all of our vehicles, the rear passenger windows are tinted allowing for privacy. Through our partnership with BMW (UK) Limited, our fleet of BMW saloon vehicles will now total more than 50.

Travelhire was proud to have been selected to support LOCOG’s transportation function at London 2012. As well as providing dedicated transportation to the IOC President’s team and event sponsors, we also provided embedded support advising Olympic volunteer drivers on best routes in and out of the various Olympic venues.

In July, Travelhire successfully completed another Farnborough Air Show for the aerospace giant, The Boeing Company. This year Travelhire provided more than 80 vehicles for the duration of the show incorporating more than 1000 individual movements. This was the eighth consecutive show at which we have had a major presence.

Travelhire has increased its fleet of executive saloons by acquiring 15 new BMW 520d saloon vehicles from its partner BMW (UK). The BMW 520d is our standard executive offering and has class leading environmental credentials.
