Travelhire was, once again, Boeing’s ground transport partner at the Farnborough International Airshow held in July. Supplying a fleet of more than 70 executive saloon vehicles, people carriers and coaches, we coordinated the movements of more than 500 delegates in the period leading up to and during the Show itself.

The Airshow is arguably the most important event in the international aerospace industry calendar and marked its centenary by celebrating 100 years of aviation history. Boeing’s Dreamliner once again stole the show.

Once again, Travelhire provided a 30 car shuttle service to support its clients BMW UK and the PGA European Tour at the PGA Tour Dinner held at the Sofitel Hotel, Heathrow last night ahead of this week’s BMW PGA Championship. The event was attended by many of Europe’s victorious 2012 Ryder Cup Team including this year’s captain, Paul McGinley. The very best of luck to all of the guests that we transported – especially to our favourite Arsenal supporting Ryder Cup hero, Ian Poulter.

On 29th October as a public relations exercise on behalf of one of our clients Travelhire supplied 20 BMW 7 Series to transport guests to Heston Blumenthal’s Fat Duck Restaurant in the small village of Bray in Berkshire.

The venue was situated on a very narrow high street so our Fleet Manager Lynton and Event Co-ordinator Lionel needed to ensure that all 20 vehicles which had pre-allocated specific passengers arrived outside the restaurant in a timely and ordered manner by liaising with the client and front of house manager.

Travelhire  supplied 42 BMW 5 and 7 Series Saloons for the 2013 Frieze Art Event held in Regents Park London during October. We worked closely with our client BMW Group UK who were amongst the official sponsors of the Event.

Travelhire has event co-ordinated and supplied vehicles for the Frieze Art Fair for several years now and continue to receive very positive approval from both our client and the many hundreds of passengers that we transferred throughout the events duration. In keeping with previous years all vehicles were fully liveried with the Frieze Art Logo and we offered a VIP shuttle service to various Art Galleries and venues.

On Monday 29th July BMW launched its revolutionary Electric vehicle the BMW i3. The worldwide event took place simultaneously in London, Beijing and New York with Travelhire providing ground transport and co-ordination for the London Old Billingsgate venue. This was a demanding assignment involving over 250 simultaneous individual Journalist arrivals from Europe into London’s Heathrow, City, Luton, and Gatwick Airports as well as the Eurostar terminal at St Pancras. All arrivals and departures were completed within a 24 hour period using our BMW 7 and BMW 5 Series fleet.

Driven by a locally emission-free electric motor the BMW i3 also qualifies for a full 100% discount in the London Congestion Zone. The BMW i3 has an impressive real-world range of 80-100 miles thanks to the high-voltage lithium ion battery. The BMW i3 Range Extender adds to the achievable range.

Travelhire provided a fleet of Vianos  for the Boeing Company which were sent from London and based near the event venue at RAF Fairford, Gloucestershire, fulfilling a ground transport solution for Boeing executives and VIP visitors.

The Goodwood Festival of Speed is one of the world’s largest motoring events. This annual festival brings together the very best in automotive design and technology showcasing Formula One cars alongside vintage vehicles and state of the art supercars alongside steam-powered engines.  Travelhire provided BMW  with a shuttle service using their BMW 7 Series fleet during the event.

Our most high profile project to date saw Travelhire plan, coordinate and deliver the entire ground transportation solution for the G8 Summit held at the Lough Erne Resort in Northern Ireland last month.

A Travelhire team of seven on-site coordinators worked around the clock to deliver the solution that involved more than 100 vehicles and 2500 delegates and staff for whom we were responsible. Working alongside our service partner in Northern Ireland, Ulsterbus, more than 65 coaches were deployed to meet the requirements of the visiting press delegations from around the world. A further 35 vehicles from Travelhire’s fleet, that had been repositioned from the UK mainland, were used to shuttle the international delegations and various accredited delegates on-site at Lough Erne and between the key Summit locations. This was a hugely challenging project that firmly establishes Travelhire as the UK’s premier ground transport provider and event coordinator.

Our famed pink ties even received a big thumbs up from the Prime Minister, David Cameron, who congratulated members of our team on a job well done.
